Grotheer & Company provides services in the mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines. We are dedicated to providing our clients with the highest level of service to ensure the success of their projects. We assist in all phases of the design process and have experience with statement of work development, preparation of contract documents (drawings, specifications, calculations), engineering studies, project schedules, cost estimates and construction administration. Being a small company, each member of our staff is extremely versatile and possesses a wide range of skills.
Licensed and reviewed
All of the principals of Grotheer & Company are licensed professional engineers in one or more U.S. states in their respective disciplines. Principals review all deliverables before submission to the client as a quality control measure. All engineering staff are encouraged to pursue continuing education and attend technical enrichment seminars.
A broad range of facilities
Our experience is enhanced by the wide range of local and overseas facilities we have worked on over the years: office buildings, shopping malls, trash transfer stations, schools, hotels, warehouses, modular facilities, libraries, prisons and historic facilities. We have over 30 years of experience with the Department of State Overseas Building Operations (OBO) in support of U.S. Embassy and Consulate design — facilities that pose interesting design challenges given their secure nature and unique engineering requirements.
A team player in any role
Grotheer & Company has worked in various capacities on design projects, acting as the prime design consultant and as a sub-consultant to architecture and engineering firms. We have experience in both design/build and design/bid/build projects. In design/build scenarios we work closely with the construction contractor to develop the design to meet the client's needs.
